- April 2 - Disney Channel and Playhouse Disney launched in Hong Kong. Additionally, the 24-hour Playhouse Disney channel also launched in Indonesia.
- July 31 - The first Fox Kids channel to rebrand to Jetix is the Latin American feed. The French feed rebrands a day later and continues all across Europe and Israel until the German feed rebranded in June 2005, completing the rebranding from Fox Kids to Jetix.
