This is a discography article of American pop rock duo 78violet (formerly Aly & AJ from 2005 to 2009) whose 2005 debut album Into the Rush which was certified Gold in the United States on March 20, 2006 by the RIAA for selling over 500,000 copies.[1] Their second studio album Insomniatic debuted at number fifteen in the United States, selling over 39,000 copies in its first week on the Billboard 200; this is their highest debut to date.[2] Their second album's lead single "Potential Breakup Song" is their most successful single to date, it was first certified Platinum for sales over 1,000,000.[3]
The duo are working on their third studio album, which is set to be released in January/February of 2010[4]

- 78violet have also appeared in the computer game The Sims 2 Pets performing "Chemicals React" in simlish on the pop music station.
- In 2007, 78violet did a cover of the KT Tunstall song Black Horse and the Cherry Tree for Pepsi Smash exclusives, a video of them singing the song can be found on Yahoo! Music.[8]
