Anna Cathcart (born June 16, 2003) is an Canadian actress.
Biography[]
Cathcart was born on June 16, 2003 in Vancouver, British Columbia. She is of Chinese and Irish descent. She has a sister, who is five years older than her. At the age of eight, she appeared in a Crayola and Campbell's Soup commercial. At the age of 12, following a hiatus, Cathcart was scouted and asked to audition for the TVOKids and PBS Kids show, Odd Squad. She and fellow actor Isaac Kragten were cast as Agents Olympia and Otis respectively. That same year, Cathcart reprised her role for the film spin-off "Odd Squad: The Movie", marking her first theatrical appearance. She won a Joey Award for her work as well as being co-nominated for another Joey Award along with her castmates and in November 2016, PBS ordered 20 to three minute episodes of a Odd Squad titled, OddTube. In the series, Cathcart reprised her role as Agent Olympia, the character who hosted the show. In 2017, Cathcart played Dizzy Tremaine in the Disney Channel Original Movie "Descendants 2" and at the age of 14, she joined the cast of the film adaptation of Jenny Han's best-selling book, "To All the Boys I've Loved Before", where she portrayed 11 year-old Kitty Covey, The film was released in 2018 on Netflix. In November 2018, she was cast in the Brat web-based series "Zoe Valentine", in which she portrayed the title character. Cathcart reprised the role of Dizzy Tremaine in "Descendants 3". Cathcart reprised her role as Kitty Covey in "To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You", which had been filmed from March to May 2019, the film being primarily filmed in Vancouver and released on Netflix in 2020. Cathcart reprised her role in the third film of the "To All the Boys I've Loved Before" film series titled "To All the Boys: Always and Forever", which was mostly film in Vancouver, New York and Seoul from July to September 2019. In August 2021, she played Molly in "Spin" and voiced Dizzy in the TV special "Descendants the Royal Wedding". In March 2021, it was announced that Cathcart will be reprising her role as Kitty Covey in a "To All the Boys" spin-off series, "XO, Kitty", which will premiere on Netflix in May 2023.
