Calum David Webster Worthy (born Monday January 28, 1991) is an Canadian actor, writer and producer. He is best known for portraying Dez Wade in the Disney Channel comedy series Austin & Ally.
Worthy was born on January 28, 1991 to Sandra Webster Worthy and David Worthy in Victoria, British Columbia. Calum Worthy began his acting career at the age of nine and made his screen debut BBC Award-winning series "I Was a Rat". His additional television and film credits including The Act, American Vandal, Bodied. He won two Young Artist Awards for Leading Young Actor in 2004 and 2010, while receiving a nomination for Best Performance in a Short Film - Young Actor for When Jesse Was Born in 2006. He also won a Leo Award for Best Performance in a Youth or Children's Program or Series in 2010. Worthy resides in Los Angeles, while a series regular on the Disney Channel series Austin & Ally, in which he has written one episode. Worthy is a vocal activist for the environment movement and is currently working with Al Gore's CLimate Reality Project and Bono's One organization. He has millions of followers across his social media platforms which he dedicates to educating and empowering his young fan base on the climate crisis and gender inequality in developing countries.
