Chloe Bourgeois, known as Queen Bee is a character of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir and a student in Miss Bustier's class at Collège Françoise Dupont, the rival of Marinette Dupain-Cheng and the enemy of Kagami Tsurugi. She is also the daughter of Andre and Audrey Bourgeois.

She is voiced by Selah Victor in the English dubbed version, and by Marie Chevalot in the original French version of the show.

Appearance[]

Chloé has fair skin, blue eyes and blonde hair with a ponytail at the back. She wears a yellow jacket over a white shirt with horizontal black stripes, light pink lipstick, brown-lensed sunglasses atop her head, a necklace and white capris and shoes.

As Antibug, Chloé's hair and eye color remain the same, but she wears a black bodysuit with red spots and has a replica of Ladybug's yo-yo with an inverted color scheme.

As Queen Bee, she wears a yellow and black striped costume and mask, and her ponytail has black streaks in it. She carries a yellow and white Trompo, which is her weapon, on her back.

As Queen Wasp, she has yellow skin, black hair, and purple eyes with cyan sclerae. Her outfit is identical to Queen Bee's, except with the color scheme inverted.

As Miracle Queen, she looks identical to Queen Wasp, only with the addition of a black crown on her head and black arm guards and shoulder pads, all of which have yellow lining.

As Queen Banana, she has yellow skin, yellow hair in a ponytail that is black at the tips, and red eyes. She wears a yellow-and-black bodysuit that flares outwards at the bottom (making it resemble a dress) and has a pointy collar and shoulder pads. She also wears a black, butterfly-shaped mask with yellow trim.

As Penalty, she has the same yellow skin, yellow ponytail and red eyes as Queen Banana, but her eyes are surrounded by soccer ball-like tattoos. She wears a yellow bodysuit, a black soccer jersey with a yellow belt, black and yellow boots, and black fingerless gloves. The sunglasses on her head are yellow with black lenses. Her clones look identical, but with no sunglasses.

Powers and Abilities[]

As a result, she found a hair comb known as the Bee Miraculous, which when worn grant Chloé the ability to transform into Queen Bee, her superhero alias.

As the former holder of a Miraculous, Chloé is assisted by a small yellow creature resembling a bee called Pollen, who is a magical being known as a kwami. As Queen Bee, Chloé's signature ability is subjection.

Miraculous abilities[]

With the Bee Miraculous, she had the following abilities:

  • Paralysis inducement: as Queen Bee, Chloe's special superpower, Venom, enables her to immobilize her enemies and others.
  • Enhanced reflexes: She jumps and leaps higher than usual.
  • Hand-to-hand combat: She uses her spinning top for defense.

Akumatized abilities[]

As Antibug[]

Hawk Moth first akumatized her to be a rival for Ladybug with these abilities:

  • Anti-Charm: She has her own version of the Lucky Charm that she used to summon a sword.
  • Rival reflexes: She has the same reflexes as Ladybug.
  • Rival combat: She is equally skilled with her yo-yo, fighting Ladybug back and forth.

As Queen Wasp[]

Hawk Moth akumatized her Miraculous giving her the following abilities:

  • Wasp Control: She controls an army of wasps who can use her Miraculous superpower more than once.
  • Miraculous reflexes: She still has her reflexes as Queen Bee.

As Miracle Queen[]

Miracle Queen is the most powerful akumatized form of Chloe, and a lot like her previous akumatization. After Hawk Moth akumatized her top, she regained her wasps, as well as these abilities:

  • Mind Control: She can control people with a sting from her wasps.
  • Teleportation: She briefly teleported.

Weapons[]

  • Yo-yo: as Antibug, she has a yo-yo like Ladybug's, except it is black with red spots.
  • Spinning top: as Queen Bee, she has a spinning top she uses as her primary weapon as well as to channel her superpower.

Trivia[]

  • In Season 4, Chloé has since been succeeded by her half-sister Zoe as temporary holder of the Bee Miraculous, thus making Chloé the first Miraculous holder chosen by Ladybug so far to ever have been replaced in her role as a member of the French Miraculous superhero team.
  • Queen Wasp first appears in the trilogy, "The Queen's Battle", along with two other villains: Style Queen and Malediktator.
  • According to a synopsis on Le Figaro, Wang Fu would be the one to call on Queen Bee, even though Ladybug ended up being the one to do so.
  • She likes to order sushi and she hates pizza, as noted in “Princess Fragrance".
    • She also dislikes soup, as she states in "Kung Food". Interestingly, she uses sushi as an anti-Japanese joke against Wang, telling him to "go make it like everyone else", and later again uses it as a jealous conspiracy theory against Kagami where she claims that Kagami will "steal Adrien and take him to Japan", which shows she hates Japanese people.
  • Antibug is one of the many Akumatized villains to appear in the theme song animatic.
  • Following Marinette, Chloé is the second Miraculous holder that has worn multiple Miraculous (more than two) at one time with a total of nine.
    • However, unlike Marinette, she was unable to activate any of them, due to not knowing the Kwamis' names and their transformations phrases.
  • Antibug is the second Akumatized villain to be based off of a Miraculous holder, following Copycat.
    • Chloé's first three Akumatized forms are based upon superheroes (Antibug/Ladybug and Queen Wasp/Miracle Queen/Queen Bee). Her subsequent Akumatized forms, Queen Banana and Penalty, break this pattern (although Queen Banana is a pastiche of Queen Bee), symbolizing her separation from the superhero team and Ladybug.
    • With the exception of Antibug, all of Chloé's Akumatized forms use a primarily yellow and black color scheme.
