
Disney Junior is an American pay television network that is owned by the Walt Disney Television unit of The Walt Disney Company through Disney Channels Worldwide. [1] Its programming consists of original first-run television series, theatrically-released and home media-exclusive movies and select other third-party programming.
From February 2011 until January 2017, Disney Junior also lent its name to a morning and early afternoon program block seen on sister network Disney Channel, branded as "Disney Junior on Disney Channel", airing weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (6:00 to 10:00 a.m. during the summer months and designated school break periods) and weekends from 6:00 to 9:00 a.m. Eastern and Pacific Time.[2]

- In the United States, Disney Junior launched on February 14, 2011. The channel which was replaced SOAPnet was launched in March 23, 2012.
- In Latin America, Disney Junior was launched on April 1, 2011.
- In the UK & Ireland, Disney Junior was launched on May 7, 2011. The channel closed on October 1, 2020, moving all of its content to Disney+.
- In the Middle East & North Africa, Disney Junior was launched on June 2011.
- In Asia, Disney Junior was launched on July 11, 2011. The channel ceased broadcasting in Singapore on May 31, 2020, Malaysia on December 31, 2020 and the rest of Asian regions on September 30, 2021, moving all of its content to Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar.
- In Canada, Disney Junior was launched on May 6, 2011 under the brand licensing agreement by Astral Media and DHX Media. The channel was rebranded as Family Jr. on September 18, 2015 and Corus launched a different Disney Junior-branded channel on December 1, 2015.
- In Poland, Disney Junior was launched on June 1, 2011.
- In Australia & New Zealand, Disney Junior was launched on May 29, 2011 and closed on April 30, 2020, moving all of its content to Disney+.
- In Germany, Disney Junior was launched on July 11, 2011. The channel ceased broadcasting on September 30, 2021, moving all of its content on Disney Channel and Disney+.
All versions of Disney Junior serves as the replacement of Playhouse Disney.
