"Good Golly, Miss Dolly" is the sixteenth episode of the first season. The title is a reference to the Little Richard song "Good Golly, Miss Molly."

Plot[]

Miley's godmother, Aunt Dolly, visits the Stewart family. She brings her video camera to film the family, but Miley accidentally tapes herself professing her love for Jake. Oliver and Lilly come over and Oliver accidentally takes the videotape with him. Miley gets back the the video camera, but Oliver has already given Jake, the editor, the tape. So, Miley, Lilly, and Aunt Dolly try to get it back. Also, when Miley finally builds the courage to tell Jake that she likes him, Jake reveals that he has a girlfriend, Rachel. At the end Miley is sitting on the couch with her dad and Aunt Dolly, and they convince Miley not to give up on Jake by singing "Who Said" in a version related to their conversation.

Goofs[]

  • Just before Miley and Dolly enter the room that Jake is in, the lighting was dark in the hallway. When they come out, the hallway is lighted. Unless they turned it on when they entered the hallway.
  • Miley mentions that she modeled her Hannah look after Dolly. But in the episode, "Take This Job and Love It" Miley goes through a flashback to when she got her Hannah wig. It turns out that Roxy made up Hannah's look, not Miley.
