"Lights, Candace, Action!" is the second segment of the fifth episode in Season 1 of Phineas and Ferb. It first aired on February 3, 2008.
Plot[]
Phineas and Ferb direct a film adaption of Candace's favorite play, but they transform this beautiful play into a full-out monster movie. Meanwhile, Perry the Platypus tries to find out why Dr. Doofenshmirtz is being so quiet.

- This is the first time Perry does not join Phineas and Ferb at the end.
- This is the first time Monogram says the "Oh, there you are, Perry" line.
- This is the first time Candace's ears are shown.
- This is the first time Perry isn't seen entering his lair.
- When Isabella is seen talking in a handsfree, a chroma key appears behind her.
- When Candace tries to run out of the trailer, the music from "Big Ginormous Airplane" plays.
- The woman who does Candace's nails makes a cameo appearance in Perry's theme song as one of the women who swoons when he chirps.
- Phineas reassures Candace that the snakes are rubber, much like when the snakes land on everyone ("Rollercoaster").
Errors[]
- Phineas says that Candace will get hit with 800 cubic ft. of rats, spiders, and snakes, but a close up on the boxes shows rats, bats, and snakes.
- When Ginger whispers to Phineas that the camera cap is still on, Phineas' mouth does not move when he says "Oh".
- The Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated sign takes two lines instead of only one.
- Milly has a bow on the left side on her head, but the bow is on her right.
- Doofenshmirtz's Age-Accelerator-inator shows green on the power level when he is about to demonstrate it, but shows red when he is coming back in.
- The power level on Doofenshmirtz's machine appears on the right of the machine as he comes back into his building after demonstrating his invention, but it is supposed to be on the left, as it is in the rest of the episode.
- When the old audience for the movie leaves after not liking it, they pass the kids out of the theater, but Candace is the only one that gets trampled on.
- When the camera pans in the studio, Gretchen's scleras can be visible while she's holding the camera.
- By the time Candace finishes saying, "You two are the best brothers a great actress could ever have!", her mouth disappears for one frame.
- A couple of the Fireside Girls are in the testing audience, but don't turn old by the blast from Doofenshmirtz's invention.
- Candace steps on the model building first with her right foot, but in the movie at the end, she steps on it with her left foot.
- When the audience is turned old, one elderly woman appears twice.
- When Perry eats the cheese, his eyes are teal and then turn white when the camera zooms out.
- When Phineas says "Good night, Candace", it is still daytime.
