The Ghost and Molly McGee (formerly titled The Curse of Molly McGee) is an American animated buddy comedy television series created by Bill Motz and Bob Roth.[2] It is produced by Disney Television Animation. A sneak peek of the show's theme song was shown on May 1, 2021 during the "Halfway to Halloween" event on Disney Channel, it was premiered on October 1, 2021 and was released on October 6, 2021 on Disney+.[3][4]
On August 31, 2021, the show was renewed for a second season, ahead of the series premiere.[5] It premiered on April 1, 2023.[6]
Premise[]
The series follows Molly McGee, an optimistic 13-year-old, who lives to make the world a better place, and a grumpy, deep voiced ghost named Scratch, whose joy comes from spreading misery. When one of his spells backfires, Scratch finds himself forever cursed to be in Molly's presence.
